Geo-Technician position in Swakopmund, Namibia

About this Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geo-Technician to support our operational, geophysical surveying, and data acquisition activities in Namibia. The successful candidate will work closely with the managers and contribute across all field operations.

This role is based in Swakopmund and will involve both field and office-based work.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the managers with day-to-day operational activities

• photoManage vehicles and workshop

• Manage and maintain directional survey department, client liaison and Admin-related tasks

• Provide on-site and remote field support during operations

• Participate in relevant technical, operational, and HSEC training

• Operate, maintain, and calibrate logging and geophysical equipment

• Process, quality-control (QC), and manage field data

• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and safety standards

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Geology, Geophysics, Surveying, Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 10 years field experience in geophysics, mining and exploration

• Good problem-solving, technical and mechanical aptitude and computer skills

• Must be prepared to work in field conditions

• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

• Valid driver’s license

• Good health and sober habits

• Must be based in Swakopmund, or willing to relocate

• Namibian resident
